POLYURETHANE RESINS

POLYURETHANE RESINS

Understanding polyurethane resin coatings

Polished Concrete
Polyurethane coatings are amongst the most durable and robust coatings available to the market. It’s wide scope of application means it can be used to address the majority of any facility’s needs.

Why choose polyurethane resin coatings

Polyurethane systems offer extremely high chemical and thermal resistance and are non-tainting, VOC- and solvent free. The
products’ high tolerance to residual substrate moisture allows us to place on 7-day old concrete which, together with our rapid install methodologies, aids project managers to achieve their program objectives.

Where to use polyurethane resin coatings

Industrial flooring solutions

INDUSTRY

Specifically engineered to endure in industrial and manufacturing environments, polyurethane coatings can tolerate chemical exposure and withstand the constant abuse of heavy loads, extreme impact and forklift traffic.

FOOD PROCESSING

Polyurethane coated floors are impervious, making it ideal for use in food processing environments. Speed of cure means that installations can often be achieved with little or no disruption to the end user.

PHARMACEUTICAL

From vivarium and cage wash areas to manufacturing, research and development facilities, the composition of the floors ensure that staining and odours are drastically reduced or eliminated.

RETAIL

All retail facilities benefit from flooring that is attractive, easy to clean, slip-resistant and durable enough to withstand trolley traffic and exposure to spillages and organic acids that can corrode the floor.

UCRETE® flooring systems

The UCRETE® range of flooring is a brand of the Master Builders Solutions Company.

UCRETE® flooring systems are accredited for use in facilities operating HACCP-based food safety systems. UCRETE® floors are easily cleaned using industry standard cleaning chemicals and equipment. Tests undertaken by Campden Technology Ltd on the removal of Acinetobacter Calcoaceticus and Listeria Monocytogenes concluded that the cleanability of UCRETE® systems ‘compares well with the cleanability of food contact surfaces such as plastics and stainless steel’.

Following extensive VOC emission chamber testing and an audit of their quality management and production control procedures, UCRETE® was awarded the Indoor Air Comfort Gold Label.

From an aesthetic point of view, UCRETE® products are available in a colour palette of up to nine colours.
